Cinnamon Roll Ingredients

Method

Cinnamon Roll Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a small bowl, warm the milk to about 110°F (43°C) and sprinkle the yeast over it. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture, then combine with the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead and Rise

Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes on a floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, spread softened butter over the surface, and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.

  4. 4

    Shape the Rolls

Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Bake the Rolls

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Vanilla Bean Glaze

In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or sugar as needed.

  7. 7

    Glaze and Serve

Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the vanilla bean glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls. Serve warm.
