Method
Preparing the Coffee Mixture

Brew the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee using your favorite method. Allow it to cool slightly.

Mix with Liqueur
If using, stir the coffee liqueur into the brewed coffee and set aside.
Making the Filling

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Combine Mascarpone and Egg Yolks
In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolks until smooth and creamy.

Fold in Whipped Cream
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the cream.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a 9x9 inch dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers on the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.
Chilling and Serving

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
