Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork

In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Preheat your slow cooker or oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the marinated pork shoulder in the slow cooker or a roasting pan. In a separate bowl, mix the maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and BBQ sauce. Pour this mixture over the pork, ensuring it's well covered. If using an oven, cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil. Cook for 6-8 hours in a slow cooker or 4-5 hours in the oven, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker or oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Mix the shredded pork with any remaining sauce in the cooking vessel.

Sliders Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing. Toss well to coat the mix evenly. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Sliders

Slice the slider buns in half. On the bottom half of each bun, add a generous amount of the pulled pork. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and a few pickles. Place the top half of the bun on each slider.

  3. 6

    Serve

Arrange the sliders on a serving platter and serve immediately. Enjoy your Maple Pulled Pork Sliders!
