Prepare the Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to make a dry rub.

Season the Pork
Rub the dry mix all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Prepare the Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Use hickory or apple wood chips for a deep smoky flavor.

Smoke the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the smoker. Mix the apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spritz the pork every hour. Smoke for about 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
