Tartare

Serving

Method

Preparation of Tartare

  1. 1

    Preparing the Tuna

Finely dice the fresh tuna into small cubes, about 1/4 inch in size. Make sure to use a sharp knife for clean cuts.

  2. 2

    Preparing the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it gently with a fork until it's smooth but still a bit chunky.

  3. 3

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tuna, mashed avocado, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lime juice, and finely chopped jalapeño (remove seeds for less heat).

  4. 4

    Seasoning

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything together gently to ensure the tuna and avocado are well coated, but be careful not to mash the tuna.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plating the Tartare

Spoon the tuna tartare mixture onto a plate or into a bowl.

  2. 6

    Accompanying Chips

Serve with a generous amount of tortilla chips on the side for dipping.
