Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 2 cups of fresh water to a boil. Ensure not to boil for too long, as water that is too hot can scorch the green tea leaves.

  2. 2

    Add Tea Leaves

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Then, add 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves to the hot water.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Cover the kettle or teapot and allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Avoid steeping for too long to prevent bitterness.

  4. 4

    Strain and Serve

After steeping, strain the tea into a cup, discarding the leaves. If desired, add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness and a slice of lemon for added flavor.
