Method

Preparing the Dough

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk them together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Warm the Milk

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until it's warm but not boiling (about 110°F or 43°C). Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

Add the warm milk, melted unsalted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping the Rolls

  1. 6

    Shape the Rolls

After the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball.

  2. 7

    Arrange in Baking Dish

Place the shaped rolls in a greased baking dish, making sure they are touching each other. Cover with a cloth and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking the Rolls

  1. 8

    Preheat the Oven

While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 9

    Bake the Rolls

Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. 10

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in the honey and sea salt. Brush this mixture over the warm rolls immediately after they come out of the oven.
