Flank Steak

Asian Pesto

Tempura Green Beans

Method

Prepare Flank Steak

1

Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated flank steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare Asian Pesto

3

Make the Pesto

In a food processor, combine basil, cilantro, toasted peanuts, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt. Pulse until finely chopped, then gradually drizzle in olive oil while processing until smooth.

Prepare Tempura Green Beans

4

Make Tempura Batter

In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add cold water and stir until just combined.

5

Fry Green Beans

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Dip each green bean in the tempura batter and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
