Method
Prepare Tater Tots
- 1
Bake the Tater Tots
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- 2
Cook the Tater Tots
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
Make Queso
- 3
Melt the Cheese
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, salsa, and sliced jalapeños. Stir continuously until melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
Prepare Salsa Fresca
- 4
Mix Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, finely chopped red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Prepare Lime Crema
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, and salt until smooth and well combined.
Assemble Loaded Tots
- 6
Layer the Tots
Once the tater tots are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter. Pour the warm queso over the tater tots.
- 7
Add Salsa Fresca
Spoon the salsa fresca over the queso-covered tater tots, ensuring even distribution.
- 8
Drizzle Lime Crema
Drizzle the lime crema over the top of the loaded tots.
- 9
Garnish and Serve
Finally, sprinkle fresh cilantro on top as a garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!
