Jalapeño Ingredients

Method

Jalapeño Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is preheating, rinse the jalapeños under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise, and use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor.

  2. 2

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.

  3. 3

    Fill the Jalapeños

Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, ensuring they are generously filled.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  5. 5

    Top with Bacon and Bake

Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top of each filled jalapeño. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the jalapeños to help them crisp up in the oven. Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Bake the Jalapeños

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Once out of the oven, allow the jalapeños to cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your jalapeño poppers warm!
