Method

Cooking the Base

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a medium saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 10 minutes.

Preparing the Protein

  1. 2

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

While the rice is resting, cut the sashimi-grade Ahi tuna into small cubes. In a mixing bowl, combine the tuna with soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss gently to coat and set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 3

    Slice the Vegetables

Thinly slice the avocado, cucumber, radishes, and green onions. Set aside each topping in separate bowls for easy assembly.

Assembling the Poke Bowl

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a serving bowl, place a scoop of the sushi rice as the base. Top with the marinated Ahi tuna, followed by the sliced avocado, cucumber, radishes, and green onions. Add a generous scoop of seaweed salad and a few pieces of pickled ginger.

  2. 5

    Garnish the Bowl

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and add chili flakes to taste for an extra kick. Serve immediately.
