    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Mixing Wet Ingredients

  1. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.

  2. 4

    Combine Both Mixtures

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Adding Optional Ingredients

  1. 5

    Fold in Optional Ingredients

If desired, fold in chocolate chips and nuts into the batter.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Batter

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  2. 7

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
