Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patty

Form the mixture into a 1/3 lb patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill over mesquite wood fire. Place the patty on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Bacon (optional)

If using, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the burger bun. Top with crispy bacon (if using), and cover with the top half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, usually by baking or frying until golden and crispy.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

Once cooked, remove fries from heat and season with salt to taste.
