Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken and Beef

Slice the chicken breast and beef strips into thin strips. Season both with salt, black pepper, and fajita seasoning. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic cloves.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken strips and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Beef (Optional)

If using beef, add another tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Sauté the seasoned beef strips for about 4-5 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

  4. 6

    Combine and Heat Through

Return the cooked chicken and beef (if using) to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and blend flavors.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Fajitas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. Serve the sizzling chicken and beef mixture in tortillas with optional toppings such as sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, and salsa.
