Hamburger Steak

Method

Hamburger Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Tapado Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté Vegetables

In a separate saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Tomato Sauce

Stir in the tomato sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Serve

Place each hamburger steak on a plate and spoon the tapado sauce over the top. Serve hot.
