Tostada Ingredients

Method

Tostada Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Beef

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

Add taco seasoning to the browned beef, stir well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Tostadas

Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada shell. Top with the seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.

Enchilada Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook the Enchilada Filling

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Enchiladas

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Take each corn tortilla, fill it with the beef mixture, then roll it up tightly. Place enchiladas seam-side down in a baking dish.

  3. 6

    Add Enchilada Sauce

Pour the enchilada sauce over the rolled tortillas, making sure they are well coated. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

  4. 7

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from oven, sprinkle chopped cilantro on top, and serve hot.
