Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, place the strip of bacon. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

Prepare the Grits or Hash Browns

For grits, bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan, add 1 cup of grits, and stir. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. For hash browns, heat a non-stick skillet with a little oil, add shredded potatoes, and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 3

    Cook the Egg

In the same skillet used for the bacon or a separate one, crack the egg and cook it to your desired style (fried, scrambled, or poached). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

Toast the Texas Toast or Biscuit

If using Texas toast, place a slice on a skillet or toaster and toast until golden brown on both sides. If using a biscuit, bake it according to package instructions or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Optional Waffle or Pancake

If adding a waffle or pancake, prepare according to the package instructions or your favorite recipe. Serve warm with syrup if desired.
