Preparation of Tortillas

Heat the Tortillas
In a skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable and slightly toasted. Remove from heat and set aside.
Assembly of Tostadas

Spread Refried Beans
Take a warmed tortilla and spread about 1/4 cup of refried beans evenly over the surface using the back of a spoon.

Add Diced Onions
Sprinkle a small amount of diced onion over the refried beans for added flavor.

Sprinkle Cheese
Add 1/4 cup of shredded cheese over the onions and beans.

Top with Vegetables
Evenly distribute the diced tomato and bell pepper over the cheese layer.

Drizzle Hot Sauce
Add hot sauce to taste for a spicy kick.

Add Sour Cream
Dollop a tablespoon of sour cream on top of the vegetables.

Finish with Greens
Top with a cup of shredded romaine lettuce and a cup of sprouts.
