Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Mixing Bowl

In a large mixing bowl, add the peanut butter and honey. Stir them together until well combined and smooth.

2

Add Dry Ingredients

To the bowl, add the rolled oats, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt. If you're using optional ingredients like chopped nuts or dried fruits, add them at this stage.

3

Mix Thoroughly

Using a spatula or wooden spoon, mix all the ingredients together until they are fully incorporated and form a thick mixture.

Forming the Bars

4

Prepare the Baking Dish

Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

5

Spread the Mixture

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Using your hands or the back of a spatula, press the mixture firmly into an even layer.

Chilling and Serving

6

Chill the Bars

Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is set and firm.

7

Cut and Serve

Once set, lift the mixture out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or bars as desired.
