Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Gather Ingredients

Collect all the dried herbs (chamomile, peppermint, lavender, and lemon balm) and the water. If you plan to sweeten your tea, have honey or sugar ready as well.

  2. 2

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Add Herbs

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the dried chamomile, peppermint, lavender, and lemon balm. Stir the mixture gently to combine.

  2. 4

    Steep

Cover the pot and let the herbs steep in the hot water for 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired strength. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor.

Serving

  1. 5

    Strain Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a teapot or individual cups, discarding the herbs.

  2. 6

    Sweeten (Optional)

If desired, add honey or sugar to taste. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the herbal tea hot. Enjoy it on its own or with a slice of lemon for added flavor.
