Dice the Tomatoes
Wash the Roma tomatoes, remove the seeds, and dice them into small cubes.

Wash the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them roughly.

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices on a diagonal to create more surface area for toasting.
