Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4-inch thick.

Cook the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.

  3. 5

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, pickles, onion, and desired condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise).

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on each burger and press gently to secure.
