Prepare the Beef Patty

Form Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4-inch thick.
Cook the Patty

Flip and Add Cheese
Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Assemble the Burger

Toast Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Add Toppings
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, pickles, onion, and desired condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise).

Complete the Burger
Place the top half of the bun on each burger and press gently to secure.
