Vegetable Sides

    Preparing Green Beans

    Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch in boiling water for 3-5 minutes until bright green. Drain and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

    Cooking Carrots

    Peel and chop the carrots into bite-sized pieces. Steam the carrots for about 7-10 minutes until tender. Season with butter, salt, and pepper.

    Steaming Broccoli

    Cut the broccoli head into florets. Steam for 5-7 minutes until tender and vibrant green. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with salt.

    Cooking Rice

    Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water. In a saucepan, combine rice with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until water is absorbed.

    Making Mashed Potatoes

    Peel and chop 4 large potatoes. Boil in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until creamy.

    Cooking Quinoa

    Rinse 1 cup of quinoa under cold water. In a saucepan, combine quinoa with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until water is absorbed.

    Toss romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing, croutons, and grated parmesan cheese in a large bowl.

    Combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and your choice of dressing in a large bowl. Toss to mix well.
