Method
Preparing the Burger Patty

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
Cooking the Burger

Preheat Grill or Pan
Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Add Toppings
After flipping, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the patties reach desired doneness.
Cooking the Bacon

Cook Bacon
In a separate pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembling the Burger

Toast Buns
If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

Add BBQ Sauce
Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

Layer the Patty
Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top of the BBQ sauce.

Add Bacon
Layer the crispy bacon strips on top of the cheese.

Add Optional Garnishes
Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and onion slices, if using. Finish with the top half of the bun.
