Burger Patties

Toppings

Buns

Method

Prepare the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Grill or Pan-fry

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, tomato (sliced), pickles, and the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Top it off with ketchup and mustard, then place the top half of the bun.
