Brussels Sprouts

Garlic Aioli

Method

Preparing the Brussels Sprouts

  1. 1

Clean and Trim the Brussels Sprouts

Remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts. Trim the stems and cut each sprout in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Season the Brussels Sprouts

In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper until evenly coated.

Cooking the Brussels Sprouts

  1. 3

    Fry the Brussels Sprouts

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the Brussels sprouts cut-side down in a single layer. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until the cut sides are golden brown and crispy. Flip the sprouts and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until they are tender and cooked through.

Making the Garlic Aioli

  1. 4

    Prepare the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Dish

Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked, transfer them to a serving dish and serve immediately with the garlic aioli on the side for dipping.
