Preparation of Chicken

Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the chicken
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the chicken breasts ensuring they are evenly coated.
Making the Stout BBQ Sauce

Combine sauce ingredients
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine stout beer, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Simmer the sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
Cooking the Chicken

Bake the chicken
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour half of the stout BBQ sauce over the top. Reserve the other half for serving.

Roast the chicken
Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serve the chicken
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve with the remaining stout BBQ sauce on the side.
