Method
Preparing the Prawns

Boil the Prawns
In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook the Prawns
Add the peeled and deveined prawns to the boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

Drain and Cool
Remove the prawns from the water and drain them. Place them in an ice bath to cool quickly. Once cooled, set aside.
Making the Cocktail Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.

Season the Sauce
Add hot sauce (if using) and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
Assembling the Prawn Cocktail

Prepare the Serving Dish
On a serving platter or individual serving glasses, place a few lettuce leaves at the bottom.

Add Prawns
Arrange the cooled prawns on top of the lettuce leaves.

Top with Sauce
Drizzle the cocktail sauce generously over the prawns.

Garnish
Add lemon wedges on the side for garnish. Serve immediately.
