Brownie Preparation
- 1
Melt the Butter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat once melted.
- 2
Mix Sugars
Stir in 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and 0.5 cup of light brown sugar until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.75 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
- 7
Bake
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
