Prepare the Crostini

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with extra virgin olive oil.

Toast the Crostini
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the crostini are golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Prepare the Tomato Basil Topping

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, and finely chopped red onion.

Add Seasoning
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the mixture, add salt, and season with pepper to taste. Gently mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Allow the tomato basil mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Assemble the Crostini

Spoon a generous amount of the tomato basil topping onto each toasted crostini.
