Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Mix the Coffee

In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee, coffee liqueur, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Make the Mascarpone Cream

  1. 3

    Whisk Egg Yolks

In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Mascarpone

Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and fully combined.

  3. 5

    Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  4. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and light.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 7

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy.

  2. 8

    Layer the Tiramisu

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone cream. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone cream on top.

  3. 9

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 10

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder. Slice and enjoy!
