Method

Preparing the Salad

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Vegetables

Thoroughly wash the mixed greens, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes under cold water. Peel the cucumber if desired, and slice it into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes.

  2. 2

    Slice the Onion

Peel the red onion and slice it thinly. If the flavor is too strong, you can soak the slices in cold water for 10 minutes and drain.

  3. 3

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens, cucumbers, red onion, and cherry tomatoes. Toss gently to mix.

Adding Cheese and Olives

  1. 4

    Add Feta and Olives

Crumble the feta cheese over the salad mixture. Add the Kalamata and Castelvetrano olives on top. Gently toss again to combine, ensuring not to break up the feta too much.

Making the Herb Vinaigrette

  1. 5

    Mix the Vinaigrette

In a small bowl or jar, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk or shake well until all ingredients are emulsified.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the herb vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.

Serving the Salad

  1. 7

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Greek salad immediately as a fresh side dish or light main course. Enjoy!
