Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center, add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assembly & Baking

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to fit your pizza pan.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce

Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Layer fresh mozzarella, pepperoni slices, crumbled Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and diced pancetta on top of the sauce.

  5. 9

    Bake Pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot.
