Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up. On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
- 2
Make the Sauce
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, add the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and chopped basil. Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Assembly
- 3
Assemble the Pizza
Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough. Arrange the slices of fresh mozzarella on top of the sauce. Layer the pepperoni, cooked Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and diced pancetta evenly over the cheese.
Baking
- 4
Bake the Pizza
Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Serving
- 5
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Slice into wedges and serve hot. Enjoy your Godfather pizza!
