Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Mix Crust Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- 3
Form the Crust
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Make sure it’s evenly distributed and compacted.
- 4
Bake the Crust
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until it is lightly golden. Remove from oven and let it cool.
Filling Preparation
- 5
Mix Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- 6
Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.
- 7
Add Vanilla and Eggs
Add vanilla extract and one egg at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- 8
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.
- 9
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.
- 10
Cool the Cheesecake
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool down gradually. Then remove from oven and let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
- 11
Chill
Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Topping Preparation
- 12
Prepare Berries
Wash and dry the fresh berries. If using strawberries, hull and slice them.
- 13
Dust with Powdered Sugar
In a small bowl, mix the fresh berries with powdered sugar to lightly coat them.
- 14
Serve
Once the cheesecake has chilled, top it with the prepared berries before serving. Enjoy!
