Preparing the Mozzarella Sticks
- 1
- 2
Bread the Mozzarella
Dip each mozzarella stick first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them on a baking sheet.
- 3
Freeze the Sticks
Once all sticks are breaded, place them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Frying the Mozzarella Sticks
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Sticks
Carefully add the frozen mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Making the Marinara Sauce
- 6
Cook the Marinara
In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
