Main Ingredients

Marinade Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and fresh dill (if using) until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F or 190°C to 200°C).

  2. 4

    Prepare the Grill Grate

Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking. You can use a paper towel soaked in oil and tongs to wipe down the grill.

  3. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes, then carefully flip the fillets and grill for another 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

  4. 6

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with additional lemon wedges and your favorite sides.
