Beef Marinade

Method

Beef Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Place the flank steak in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling the Beef

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the flank steak for about 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  4. 6

    Slice the Beef

Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

Taco Assembly

  1. 7

    Warm the Tortillas

While the steak is resting, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 1 minute on each side until pliable.

  2. 8

    Assemble the Tacos

Take a warm tortilla and add a few strips of grilled beef. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and salsa. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve the tacos immediately while warm. Enjoy!
