Frosting

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter over low heat until warm and the butter is melted. Allow to cool slightly, then add to the dry ingredients along with the eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.

  4. 4

    Shape the Rolls

Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a large rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, then roll tightly from the long side. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place in a greased baking pan.

  5. 5

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Bake the Rolls

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Make the Frosting

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.

  8. 8

    Frost the Rolls

Once the rolls are baked, let them cool for about 10 minutes before spreading the frosting on top.
