Base Ingredients

Method

Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

  2. 2

    Chill the Base

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the mixture is completely chilled.

Flavor Addition

  1. 3

    Add Flavorings

Divide the chilled base mixture into four separate bowls. In each bowl, add the desired flavoring ingredients: chocolate syrup for chocolate ice cream, chopped strawberries for strawberry ice cream, chopped mint leaves for mint ice cream, and coffee extract for coffee ice cream. Stir each mixture until well combined.

Churning & Freezing

  1. 4

    Churn the Ice Cream

Pour each flavored mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.

  2. 5

    Freeze the Ice Cream

Transfer the churned ice cream to airtight containers and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up before serving.
