Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Gather Your Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients: dried chamomile flowers, water, and any optional sweeteners or garnishes you wish to use.

  2. 2

    Measure the Water

Measure 2 cups of fresh water and pour it into a medium-sized pot.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Boil the Water

Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.

  2. 4

    Add Chamomile

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add 2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers to the water.

  3. 5

    Steep the Tea

Cover the pot and allow the chamomile to steep for about 5 minutes to release its flavor and aroma.

Serving

  1. 6

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the chamomile flowers from the tea, discarding the flowers.

  2. 7

    Sweeten to Taste

If desired, add honey or sugar to the strained tea and stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness according to your preference.

  3. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Pour the chamomile tea into cups. Optionally, add a slice of lemon or a few mint leaves as garnish before serving.
