Assembly
Method
Caramel Sauce
- 1
Prepare the Caramel
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the granulated sugar. Stir constantly until the sugar melts and turns a golden amber color. Be careful not to burn it.
- 2
Add Butter and Cream
Once the sugar is melted, carefully add the unsalted butter to the pan, stirring until melted. Then slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious.
- 3
Season with Salt
After combining, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the kosher salt. Allow the caramel to cool slightly before using.
Cold Brew Preparation
- 4
Brew the Cold Brew Coffee
In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee and cold water. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
- 5
Steep
Cover the jar and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours, depending on your desired strength.
- 6
Strain
After steeping, strain the coffee through a coffee filter or a fine-mesh sieve into another container to remove all grounds.
