Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Start by rimming your glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Blueberries

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh blueberries and gently muddle them using a muddler or the back of a spoon. This will release their juices and flavor.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, fresh orange juice, and simple syrup to the shaker with the muddled blueberries.

  2. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes to chill the mixture.

  3. 5

    Shake

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well combined and chilled.

Serving

  1. 6

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. You can use a fine mesh strainer to catch any blueberry pieces if desired.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Garnish with a few whole blueberries and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass for an extra touch of freshness.
