Preparation of Tomato Mixture

Chop Tomatoes
Dice the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Minced Garlic
Finely mince the garlic cloves and add to the tomato and basil mixture.

Add Olive Oil and Vinegar
Pour in the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Stir well to combine.

Season
Add salt and black pepper to taste, and mix thoroughly. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Toasting the Bread

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice Baguette
Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Arrange on Baking Sheet
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy.
Assembling Bruschetta

Top the Toasts
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice.
