Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beans

Rinse the dried navy beans under cold water. Place them in a large pot, cover with water, and soak overnight. Drain and rinse the beans, and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beans

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the soaked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and vegetable broth to the pot. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Bake the Beans

Transfer the mixture to a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the beans are tender and the sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade baked beans!
