Chicken Wings
Blue Cheese Dressing
Method
Preparing the Wings
- 1
Clean and Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the wings to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the wings to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the hot sauce and mix well.
- 6
Coat the Wings
In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried wings in the hot sauce mixture until they are evenly coated.
Making the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 7
Combine the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together the blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 8
Chill the Dressing
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
