Mix the Meat
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chorizo sausage, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and diced jalapeños. Mix until well combined.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form each part into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach the desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger

Toast the Buns
While the burgers are finishing, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Add Toppings
Spread hot sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by a generous spoonful of pico de gallo.

Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
