Beef Preparation
Method
Beef Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the grass-fed beef steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
- 2
Season the Steak
Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Make sure to rub the seasoning into the meat for better flavor.
- 3
Prepare the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers but does not smoke.
- 4
Cook the Steak
Add the steak to the hot skillet. For a medium-rare finish, cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the steak and add the garlic cloves and fresh rosemary to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side.
- 5
Check Doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130°F (54°C). Adjust cooking time if needed.
- 6
Rest the Steak
Remove the steak from the skillet and transfer it to a cutting board. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
- 7
Serve
Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your high-quality grass-fed beef!
