Burger Patty

Onion Mixture

For Serving

Method

Prepare the Onion Mixture

  1. 1

    Sauté the Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced yellow onion, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent. Set aside to cool.

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck with the sautéed onion mixture, diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and diced red onions. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 3

    Form the Patty

Divide the mixture into two equal portions. Form each portion into a large patty, about 1 inch thick, ensuring the center is slightly thicker to prevent shrinking while cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 4

    Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 6-8 minutes on one side, then flip. Top each patty with one slice of American cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese. Cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Build Your Burger

Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes. Place a patty on each bun, then top with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Cover with the top bun.
