Cheese Curds

House Made Ranch

Method

Cheese Curds Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Stations

Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Bread the Cheese Curds

Coat each cheese curd in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into beaten eggs, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

Frying

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the Curds

Carefully add cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

House Made Ranch Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Ranch Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  2. 6

    Chill the Ranch

Cover the ranch dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
